your website is too complicated!

I wanted to make a post and didn't know where to put it, and if I did put it somewhere it would be lost. Simplify, simplify, simplify

I have a freeware program thst can be used with a 2 axis x-y cutting tble, such as a flame cutter or a plasma cutting table, or a waterjet cutter or 2axis router. This is a program that makes g-code as you draw the part one move at a time. It is a sequential drawing program and is ideal for teaching g-code to a machine operator.

It should be handy for any commercial plasma cutter. It can be configured for old l-tec duct cutters or the newest esab contour bevel machines
This program has been around a long time, but it's still handy, and it's FREE!

check out the sample part programs. most were done with the digitizing tablet.
you can use this program to view the sample g-code part programs

rudy's cnc freeware

didn't know what section to post this in

Interesting program, I'll have a better look later.

Broadly speaking I agree about the board being too complicated, there are WAY too many boards, sub-boards and such like. Most of them will end up being empty for a very long time since nothing scares away prospective forum users like an empty forum. better to collapse the whole thing down to - at most - seven boards total, then re-expand as membership builds. Until then, encourage usefully keywordy titles to enable easy searching and sorting.

I'm going to do a little work on a "how to make your own PCBs" article since a lot of retrofits demand a certain amount of interfacing circuitry, and it's not hard once you've done it a couple of times. I've also got quite good with opto-isolators which will stop the machine laying waste to your computer, so a brief write-up on those may be helpful. Got some spraying to do before then though so it'll be tonight or the weekend.

Hello grouchy,

Thanks for the feedback. I have been thinking the forums are a little messy. Your comments are perfect for the websites public beta stage. I have it noted as a to do.

Thanks for a link to the CNC Software as well. I am sure there will be a few community members that will find it very useful.

Ivan
