I have created an outline of large text and saved it as dfx in Alibre design but when I open it in Sheetcam it only shows as a thin line and I can't change the perspective. What am I doing wrong?

I am guessing you are running into a font problem. There are a few types of fonts out there. True-Type, Postscript and OpenType. Feel free to research the types and their differences. CAD programs handle these differently. I usually get the Text the size I want it, then convert it to polylines. Then over in CAM it seems to work out better.
I believe there are CAM Programs that you can take fonts directly into. Heck, SheetCAM may be one of them. I just don't do it in my process.
Any font experts out there, that can shed some more light on the subject?
