Pricing 8 Months ago
Hi,

I have done some searching around on this forum and cannot seem to find the answer to my question.

If you want to charge for doing CNC milling work. How does one bill for that? Are there any formula as such? How do companies in different countries bill for milling work?

Thanks,

Will...

Dear Friend,

Following are the different component of Machine Hour Rate. In INDIA we charge on the basis of machine hour rate (i.e. charge per hour of the continuous machine run) :

1. Direct Labour hour rate(workers who are directly involved) + Indirect Labour hour rate (supervisor+Manager who are indirectly involved)
2. Tools and inserts (throw away type inserts)
3. Consumables like replacing cutting oil, hydraulic oil, cotton waste etc.
4. Electricity bill for the machine per hour.

Sum total of the above components make up to be the aggrigate machine hour rate.

We charge in the band of 550 to 700 Indian Rs. per hour for a CNC Machining Centre.

regards,

Jasmin Shah
