Adding Videos:On CNC Information it is easy to share a video for others to see. You can add them to either your Forum Posts or your Blog Posts.
Why use 3rd Party Video Sites:Size really. Video files are generally large files. Hosting them on the CNC Information Server would quickly overload it. There are many sites out there that specifically host videos. They are great at it, so why not use them.
An Example of How To embed Videos:Anywhere you want the video to show up, place the simple code string depending on your 3rd Party Video Provider.
If you upload your photos to YouTube, for example, here is the code you would add:
{youtube}video_id{/youtub}
- I had to misspell the second "youtube" or it would have shown a blank video screen. It should read: {/youtube}
The "video_id" is YouTube's special id they attach to videos so they can keep track of them. This video_id is at the end of the URL String for the video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR50g3QFvp8For this URL String the "video_id" is "NR50g3QFvp8"
So this is what your code would look like to show this specific video:
{youtube}NR50g3QFvp8{/youtub}
I had to misspell the second YouTube Tag or you wouldn't have been able to see the code. The Video would show up as planned.
What other Video Sharing Sites can I use:There are many Video Hosting Websites out there and we support a lot of them. So no matter where you store your videos, you can share them here. You will see examples below in a text file of how to make the quick code to add videos from other video sharing sites.
To embed videos to your content use the following Strings per video provider:
