SUMMARY
Provide robust CNC programs to facilitate the manufacture of Turbine Engine components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
· Document all of the set-up information.
· Review the fixturing.
· Provide support for fixture design as required.
· Evaluate the new cutting tools.
· Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of the parts
to determine the dimension and configuration of the cuts.
· Select the appropriate tools and machine speeds,
and feed rates according to the machine shop processes,
part specifications and machine capabilities.
· Write the instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up
and operation of the machine.
· Optimize the existing programs.
· Possess a thorough understanding of the quality control procedures.
· Ensures that the quality control standards are maintained.
· Maintain production schedules from the prototype run to production.
· Provide shop floor support for the life of the program.
· Perform other duties as assigned by Technical Support Manager.
· Train other employees as required.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two Year Technical Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must have thorough knowledge of G code programming.
Good CAD solid modeling experience is important.
Experience in Unigraphics and Mastercam programming a plus.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually nominal.
