SUMMARY
Provide robust CNC programs to facilitate the manufacture of Turbine Engine components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
· Document all of the set-up information. · Review the fixturing. · Provide support for fixture design as required. · Evaluate the new cutting tools. · Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of the parts to determine the dimension and configuration of the cuts. · Select the appropriate tools and machine speeds, and feed rates according to the machine shop processes, part specifications and machine capabilities. · Write the instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up and operation of the machine. · Optimize the existing programs. · Possess a thorough understanding of the quality control procedures. · Ensures that the quality control standards are maintained. · Maintain production schedules from the prototype run to production. · Provide shop floor support for the life of the program. · Perform other duties as assigned by Technical Support Manager. · Train other employees as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two Year Technical Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS Must have thorough knowledge of G code programming. Good CAD solid modeling experience is important. Experience in Unigraphics and Mastercam programming a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil based lubricants and cleaning solutions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually nominal.
