Re:Mach 3 9 Months ago
In the Mach 3 user group, I have read where several problems with the program. I downloaded the Mach 3 software, imported a DXF file and there were errors in the G-code. Could not even simulated the "running" process. Does anyone recommend using Mach 3 for a person like me just learning CNC or would you recommend another software package ?

Re:Mach 3 3 Months ago
Hi,
I downloaded the trial version of Mach3 and Vectric cut 3D. The file I was trying to cut from cut3D using Mach3 would stop at line 500 line of the code.
I further research the information to find out that Mach3 trial version will only run 500 lines of G-code.

With Mach3 I was able to have my motors run, test the roadrunner file (the machine was mimicking the design), but for some reason I have not been able to resolve the issue with the sizing that I wanted.
Need to go back and review the video on machine calibration.
But it is a great software to use, being someone that have no clue of CNC, or electronics for that matter but I'm willing to try.

Re:Mach 3 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I'm using Mach3 all the time and love it. It was included when I bought my Vortech router. I picked it up very quickly. They have a lot of videos on line to help you get started. I was cutting with it an hour after I had it set up. The Lazy-cam is useful too when you need to tweak a file a little bit an don't want to open another program. Highly recommend it.

As far as the sizing issue mentioned, you might try sending the file to lazy-cam, then ubder tools, select scale, change the size then post it to Mach.
