Need help in hexagon pocket milling 7 Months, 1 Week ago  
I need help in getting G-codes for cutting a .25" hexagon pocket about .5" deep with a .125" endmill. My problem lies with using cutter compensation in cutting a internal pocket Can anyone help???

Using such a small endmill, I would suggest
making several passes in Z at 2000 rpm.
Somewhere between .025 and .050 per pass.
Feedrate around 10 ipm or less.

This is a CCW movement. G41 offsetting will adjust smaller and G42 offsetting will adjust larger.

G01 X0. Y0.
G01 X0.0625 Y0.0361
G01 X0. Y0.0722
G01 X-0.0625 Y0.0361
G01 X-0.0625 Y-0.0361
G01 X0. Y-0.0722
G01 X0.0625 Y-0.0361
G01 X0.0625 Y0.0361
G01 X0. Y0.

This will give you radius corners and broaching would be necessary to make a true hexagon.

If this path is too tight and alarms out the machine, then simply lie to the machine and tell it the diameter of the endmill is much smaller. Tell the machine the diameter of your endmill is 1/32nd and that should keep it from alarming out.
