G54 8 Months ago
I know this is basic stuff but am trying to get my head around G54 work coordinates on a two axis lathe.
Any visual or descriptive help would be appreciated.
Alan.

The machine is a HAAS Lathe, based closely on Fanuc code.

Howzit
Although i always use workshift and offset geometry for setup, i reckon its pretty much the same as milling setup with g54 to g59.
get your position on x and z select origin input, then in g54 input your values and make that same tool 0 input in your tool offset and whatever your values are for your other tools input according to the offset number u want to use.

Please shoot me if i am wrong!
