I have a G-code file for making a wheel. Is there any way I can convert the g-code files to a DWG file so can get drawings with Autocad?

The G Code file is your toolpath. You would have to "reverse post" it,but it will only show you the toolpath, not the whole part. Do you have any other info about the wheel, or just the program? ---------john

I'm guessing the program is for a CNC Lathe. If it machines the whole part, or you have a good idea what it looks like, you could possibly read through the program, and get your dimensions and re-draw it. It will take a little time, but that might be your best bet. I'll be glad to help, if you need it! ----john

To look with google 'G-code to DXF.'
the program is free.
with this you can convert your file G-code in DXF and to open it with autocad
