Hello to all, I'm slightly new to this whole machining and cnc thing, but just wanted some insight from others that have far more superior knowledge. I have been researching alot trying to find an all-in-one machine setup with all the bells and whistles inc cnc. I've looked @ all manufacturer for that right machine at a fairly right price.I have not alot of room in my current garage/shop so this is why I believe that it needs to be an all-in-one, although most expierienced prefer individual. It has come down to the shopmaster 2008 tri-power patriot coming in at just under 10k. Now I know some are probably thinking why would someone with absolutely no knowledge of this field be concidering cnc right off the bat, Well cuz I've always believed to start bigger than you should also simply cuz I'm just a hobbiest trying to turn out some awsome parts plus have a love for long range target shooting. The confusion is that on a few other sites there's alot of bashing of this particular machine and alot of the others. I guess what I'm asking is for a lil insight from anyone as I don't want to make a 10k fatal mistake! Please help soon................Thanks Randy

Well I am kinda new to this issue too. But here is my two cents worth. You should already know, IT WILL BE EXPENSIVE. A machine that "has it all" will probably tend to be more expensive, than a basic one. Exactly what do you mean by, "all in one"? Are you doing milling, or lathe work, or both? Hope I help.
