squaring material 3 Months, 1 Week ago  
I AM NEW TO CNC , JUST PUT MY MACHINE TOGETHER . I AM LEARNING mACH 3,My question is what is the best way to square my material on my cutting table. I have not seen any references to this question. Thanks

if I understand you want to place matieral on table square to your machine right? if so one way would to be place your spindle just inside the machining envelope on the long (X) axis all the way at one end of the (Y) axis either end will do align the material long way along X bring the spindle down to touch off rhe side of workpiece ( don't power up the spindle! )once close to aligned raise the spindle and run along X to the other end of the workpiece and align to the spindle again try not to move the first end you may want to clamp the firstend before alinging the second (not too hard) if you need more precision you may use a dial indicator to square the workpiece better (if conditions allow of course). I hope this helps.
