Question on resolution and accuracy 5 Months ago  
I've noticed alot of routers offer various resolutions and accuracies.

As the accuracies and resolutions numbers increase does this mean they are better?

What is the reccomendations of these for a signmaking hobbyist?



Sorry for all the simple questions, I'm very new at this.

Hello bce086!

High accuracy machines are able to produce high detail designs.
If you want to cut just letters you don't need high detail.
But if you want to produce some tiny designs for your signs you will need accuracy!!!

So an accuracy of .002 would be more accurate than .003 im assuming?

Thanks alot, now I've noticed that alot of machines have different resolutions along with the accuracy.

Is higher resolution just a better overall smooth/detailed cut? So once again... a resolution of .002 would be better than .003?

Sorry for these simple questions, I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
