G10 code clarification 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Can anybody pls explain to me why and how the G10 code is used in CNC milling.
I saw a program with two X cordinates and Y cordinates in the same line.
What is the purpose of having two co-ordinates for the same axis in the same block?
what do the L2 and P2 characters stand for?
I'm including the program here for clarity.

O0001:
G90 G10 L2 P2 x-325.572 X-327.341 Y-221.531 Y0221.872 Z-448.670 Z-448.620 B0;

im just learning but i think this is a fault .you should check it on ur machine if you can do a programe test .i use a haas vf-0 and put my programes into the graph and run on single block and test each line .

this line dont make sence to me
G90 G10 L2 P2 x-325.572 X-327.341 Y-221.531 Y0221.872 Z-448.670 Z-448.620 B0;

g90 is in absolute mode
g10 some king of coordinate setting
2 X and Y coordinates on the same line would probbly confuse the machine or an alarm would show up
the second Y coordinate is wrong for a start it wouldnt be y0221.872 it would either be y221.872 or y-221.872
P2 well if ive read my haas manual right this means it will pause for 2 seconds once the Z axis reaches its depth
L2 ive only come across L0 at the end of lines but i take them out when its L0
as for the B ive not come across that yet
