Arc Length on matierials and thickness. 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have a 4'x 8' sheet of 1/16 Cold rolled steel. I know its shitty steal but my question is if I have a hypertherm powermax600 That is running with Plasma Cam. Right now my arc length is set at 1.35, 40 amps, 70 psi, cutting speed of 80 inches per minute. It's cutting fine its just not a clean cut, it seems to be too heated, It leaves a 1/32 lip or round off on the other side. I don't know what I should increase or decrease to prevent it from happening and leave me with a clean tip. I would would really appreciate some opinions.
