Can A Hexapod Robot CNC Router Cut A 3D Face?

This video is wicked cool. A Hexapod Robot has a router attached and can mill! It is something out of The Matrix or something. The media is foam and they cut out a 3D Face. It is like a bug that is CNC Routing. Very Cool!

Circuit Milling

Using my cnc router to mill a prototype circuit. This has been a long time coming for me, and the fact that everything went perfectly … I’m ecstatic. Thanks you to Widgitmast for making a great router :D And thanks to Proxxon for a precision tool at an affordable price.

The evolution of vertical Roller mill

Vertical Roller Mill (grinding) is

increasingly widely used in cement production line. New modern cement production line, coal,

raw material grinding mill with vertical accounted for more than 90%, cement clinker and

slag grinding mills are using more and more vertical, so modern cement plant , Vertical

Roller Milling machine has become an important plant process equipment, which is a series of

excellent features that it determined, some are purely mechanical technology, the other part

is the process of nature.    The invention is a Vertical Roller Mill grinding grain by rural

stone nianzi inspired. Modern Vertical Roler Milling machine is developed from l906 onwards,

it has been constantly improved over the past century has experienced a roller by

centrifugal force to pressure to use the spring pressure, to the present system with a

hydraulic pressure pneumatic springs. By grinding material from the soft to medium hard coal

for cement raw materials to brittle cement clinker and slag. For the cement industry for the

invention of new dry calciner, rotary kiln production of double and large, make Vertical

Roller Milling machine structure has been continuously improved and large, to meet the

requirements of a kiln with grinding.Vertical Roller Mill: in the world to use the more than 750 Peter grinding, there

are nearly 500 more than for the grinding of coal, nearly 100 used for grinding gypsum.

Peter has a durable structure of grinding in the mill site has no bearings or lubrication

points. This design allows the mill to operate at 700 ? high temperature use, the best of

the dry state, and even can be used to calcined gypsum.    MB vertical roller mill: it has

absorbed the advantages of grinding Peter, that is not within the roller roller bearings,

while the use of three large roller, the compression spring will be under pressure ring

bearing three principles of layout Static pressure on people lap roller guide slot grinding

material. Between the roller guide system with which to work in the dust flow severely

worn.    MPS mill extraordinary company: Germany extraordinary purchased MB patent roller

mill with a very short time, then they combine the advantages and Loesche mill grinding MB

developed the basic design concept of MPS mill.    In order to meet the cement grinding

process production line of coal, grinding cement raw material, cement clinker and slag

grinding requirements, cement machinery manufacturers around the world developed their own

brand of Vertical Roller Milling machine. LM Series Vertical Roller Mill are widely used

Liming Heavy Industry in the basis of advanced technology, combined with years of experience

in a variety of mill production, design and development of advanced grinding equipment. Is a

set of crushing, drying, grinding, milling grade transport industry in one ideal. LM Series

Vertical Roller Mill are widely used in cement, power, metallurgy, chemicals, non-metallic

mineral industries. Used to block, granular and powder materials ground into powder material

required

Homemade Mini CNC 4 axis milling machine

This is a small cnc machine that I made. Unit is about 26 pounds. Cutting area is 4.5x by 5y by 3z. It uses THK actuators. I use dampers on all the steppers to help with vibration. Home switches are currently installed on the x and y.

Tormach PCNC 1100 Vertical Lathe – Tormach CNC

OVERVIEW: This application note covers an interesting application of the Tormach PCNC 1100 milling machine. This video has been posted by Tormach. The original author is SDM Fabricating (www.sdmfabricating.com) and is published here with permission of the author. For more information about Tormach CNC machinery please go to our website at http COMMENTS from the Author (SDM Fabricating): For very little investment you can make a tool holder and use your mill as a vertical lathe with indexable tooling. I made my tool holder in a few hours. Well worth the time. Here is the long and short of it. Work is held in the spindle, tools in the tool holder. DRAWBACKS: R8 spindle, anything over 1″ needs a chucking lug. no center support, short overall lengths, no CAM support, you’ll have to write the code yourself (or do some fancy editing). Here is a picture of the Tool holder: www.sdmfabricating.com To make programing easier I used a different work offset for each tool. I bored the tool holder with three 3/4″ bores so I could use my Tormach Tooling. The ER 20 collets will hold anything up to a 1/2″. With a spot drill, a drill and a boring bar you could do just about anything. But I added an extra hole anyway. The spot drill has a place all its own. In the following video I am making four collars for a product I sell. The material is 1018 mild steel 5/8″ dia. OP 1 Face and turn (chamfers are done here with the turning tool) OP 2 Spot drill OP 3 drill (Deep hole 2.3″) OP 4 ream to

Bridgeport Series II Interact 2 CNC mill, LINUX EMC EMC2

This is my Bridgeport Series II Interact 2 milling machine. I bought it for $500 because it had a bad control. I junked the control and replaced it with a Linux computer running EMC2 Linux CNC software, a Pico Systems controller, and drives and other stuff from eBay. As of now the mill runs, homes itself, and executes G-codes. A few things left to do, but it is already functional. You are seeing it “drilling” an exaggerated bolt hole circle. It runs G code generated by my perl script. More pictures and such at igor.chudov.com
